Rise Farm Share History
The RISE Farm Share has grown into more than a produce pickup. It has become a rhythm, a point of connection, and a reminder that good food, education, and community support belong together.
Week by week, members have had the opportunity to pick up fresh seasonal vegetables, discover new items they may not have known before, and build a stronger appreciation for what local farming makes possible. What may begin as a simple pickup can quickly become something more meaningful — recognizing a vegetable by sight, learning how to store it, understanding how to use it, and sharing that knowledge with others.
Part of the beauty of the share is the experience itself: the early season greens, the spring specialties, the curiosity around unfamiliar vegetables, and the growing confidence that comes from returning each week and learning a little more each time. These moments matter. They help transform a box or bag of produce into something memorable, useful, and worth talking about with family, friends, and neighbors.
This effort has also shown the value of volunteering time, care, and support in a way that strengthens relationships. Progress has been made through connection, consistency, and a shared interest in helping members appreciate what they receive. The educational pages created alongside the share reflect that same spirit — making the experience easier to understand, more visual, and more welcoming.
Looking Ahead to 2027
We anticipate that the registration period for the early June 2027 first share pickup will open in early February 2027, pending final confirmation.
This will be an important opportunity for returning members to register early, and for current members to share the opportunity with others who may want to join.
Once confirmation is received, the registration QR code will be made available here.
With Appreciation
Special appreciation goes to the leadership and coordination that help make this program possible, and to the members, volunteers, and community supporters who continue to give it life week after week.
What begins as a share of vegetables can grow into something much larger: education, participation, memory, and community.
